So here is a list of places, old lines, tunnels and such that we are planning on visiting in the short term.
Monsal Trail (Peak District) – By Bike - Approx 20 mile bike ride with bike hire at either end. (10 miles there and 10 miles back) Although we went here last year we want to go again as part of the #EveryDisusedStation series. Amazing cycle through the peak District over viaducts and through tunnels.
Sleeper to Fort William. Then head up to Fort Augustus - Then onto the Fort William to Inverness as an #EveryDisusedStation
Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway - Speaks for itself and whilst not disused, we really want to go on this line!
The Tarka trail. 30 miles of cycling near Barnstaple on the North Devon Railway. We probably wouldn’t cycle all of it, but likely choose the nicest section to explore.
Pencader Tunnel - Fingers crossed Andrea can get the key. We would also like to do a video of a working party clearing the Aquaduct at the southern entrance.
South Wales. Because its South Wales. That is all.
Plymouth in a Day. A tour care of the delightful @Coombejunctionhalt
West Somerset Railway. Yup, amougst many of the Uk's amazing heritage lines this is just one that we would love to travel on. Not technically disused, but you know we love our heritage.
Hardham Canal Tunnel - under the main Hardham junction line.
Middlewood Way - Tissington Trail.
Old tunnel near Newburn, Newcastle. Colliery tunnel.
Obviously there is a lot more to go on here, but I am a tad short on time at the time of typing. Want to see an idea on here? Drop us an email.
